Since 1968, The Original Mother’s has been a Chicago favorite.  Live music and events, dancing, karaoke ’til your throat hurts… Mother’s has what you need!

From our earliest days hosting bands such as Chicago, Cream, The Mekons, and The Velvet Underground to nursing house music out of its diapers, Mother’s has firmly established ourselves as The Home of Performance in the Gold Coast. The tradition continues today with events such as Elvis Fest, Indie Incubator Film Fest, Mardi Gras and select Live Music nights.

Featured in many movies but immortalized in the 1986 classic “About Last Night” with Rob Lowe and Demi Moore, Mother’s remains a place you can chill while having a drink or a game of pool with the stars.

Mother’s features a huge dance floor, a killer sound system, private party space for gatherings of 25-600, and party packages that’ll make your wallet happy!
