Guess Who Gets to Dye the Chicago River Green? Guess where they won that honor?
Mar 11th
last night at She-nannigans was amazing! What was supposed to be just 3 of the Tossers (local Irish music legends) wound up being almost the entire band! WXRT was on hand to give one lucky reveler the distinct honor of sprinkling the first of the green dye into the Chicago River tomorrow. The 93XRT winner of the 2011 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day River Dye is Tad Jones.
He will be the official winner to throw the first bit o’ dye into The Chicago River on Saturday, March 12 at 9:30am. To get to the River Dye location, walk down the stairs on the South East corner of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive. Once down the stairs, continue to walk East until you see 93XRT and boat landing. Parking is very difficult, so public transportation is best. Please make sure to allow for plenty of time because of all the crowds and traffic!
After the parade and river dye, where ya gonna go? BACK to She-nannigans of course for more live music and prizes!
