Go for the Gold at Mahoney’s Second Quadrennial Summer Bar Olympics

“Watching of the Opening Ceremony” Kick Off

(CHICAGO, IL)  – Ever four years, the Summer Olympic Games occur, and every four years, (since the last Summer Olympics), Mahoney’s Pub & Grille has hosted their own version of the Summer Olympics:  Summer Bar Olympics.  This year will be known as the Second Quadrennial Summer Bar Olympics.

It all beings will the “Watching of the Opening Ceremony”, truly a spectator sport, on Friday, July 27 at 3pm. Patrons are encouraged to come dressed as the country they represent, and Mahoney’s will offer $6 Olympic Torch Half Yards of Draft Beer.

Patrons may also sign up to compete in the Second Quadrennial Summer Bar Olympic Games, which will take place the next day, Saturday, July 28 from 2pm to 6pm.  Events will run the pub-sport gamut, including Pong, Flippy Cup, Bags and more. Scoring will NOT be based on alcohol consumption, but rather a point system to be implemented by Mahoney’s Summer Bar Olympic judges.

Three medals will be awarded:  Gold, Silver and Bronze for first, second and third.  The team who brings home the Gold, will also win a party at Mahoney’s for their Summer Bar Olympic participants.  There is no cost to compete in the Summer Bar Olympics, and Mahoney’s will once again offer $6 Olympic Torch Half Yards of Draft Beer during the Second Quadrennial Summer Bar Olympics.  If you can’t make it to London, you can make it to Mahoney’s Second Quadrennial Summer Bar Olympics!
