Eleven Near North St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Locations on March 17

(CHICAGO, IL) – Everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago.  Eleven near north Irish-centric clubs and pubs: The Original Mother’s, River Shannon, Mahoney’s Pub & Grille, Downtown Dogs, She-nannigans, Pippin’s Tavern, Streeter’s Tavern, Bootleggers, The Hangge-Uppe, Mother’s Too and The Lodge Tavern are the places to celebrate.

Want to make friends green with envy?  Be the chosen one to dye the Chicago River green plus 500 green ones – yes that’s $500 cash!  It starts on Thursday, March 15, at She-nannigans where the band Red Pop Fury [http://www.reverbnation.com/redpopfury] will perform live from 9pm to 11pm.  93XRT’s Jason Thomas will raffle off the chance to dye the Chicago River green to one possible winner during a night of promotions.  The first promotion will take place at Bootleggers from 10:30pm to 11:30pm and then at The Original Mother’s from 11:30pm to 12:30am.  All this entertainment is offered free-of-charge for patrons 21 and over.

Shamrock Around the Block on Division Street on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17. Irish pipers, drummers, leprechauns on stilts and unicycles with other tomfoolery will roam the Rush and Division Street area throughout the day.  Live music from The Four Man Band http://fourmanband.com/ will also take place from 2pm to 4pm at She-nannigans.

The St. Patrick’s Day party continues into River West at Mahoney’s Pub & Grille as they host the City of Chicago Pipe Band at 4pm, the Dillon-Gavin School of Irish Dance dancers at 5pm, and a live party-rock band at 6pm into the evening.

$3.50 Miller Lite drafts (throughout the month of March at all locations) plus green draft beers will flow like the River Shannon.  Slainte!
